As a witness and decision maker, Churchill has a different view of the World War Ⅱ.

The Second World War was a great work with 6 volumes. Its author, former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, finished the book after the Second World War. It was about 360 thousand words, and included a large number of government documents, conference records, correspondence, personal preservation and more than 200 precious historical materials, which indicates a great historical value.

The Second World War 2: The Gathering Storm (Ⅱ) records the situation of Europe between 1939 and 1940. At that time, Germany invaded Poland, and the Second World War broke out. Although the Great Britain and France declared war on Germany, neither of them took the initiative, which led the war to a "prolonged and oppressive pause". The front was motionless while they were all prepared for war.As a military and political leader during both wars, Churchill was well placed to give readers a behind-the-scenes tour of history as it was being created, by a man who had a definitive part in shaping it.

Winston Churchill (1874-1965), a British politician, historian, militarist and writer, who served as British Prime Minister during 1940-1945 and 1951-1955, led the British to the final victory of the Second World War, and was recognized as one of the most important political leaders of the twentieth century. Churchill was famous for his elegant and polished literary works such as The World Crisis, A History of the English-Speaking Peoples, and The Second World War. The Second World War won the Nobel prize for literature in 1953.

The many disappointments and disasters of the brief campaign in Norway caused profound perturbation at home, and the currents of passion mounted even in the breasts of some of those who had been most slothful and purblind in the years before the war.
